Nairobi to Lake Naivasha Day Trip

Embark on a journey from Nairobi to the beautiful Lake Naivasha, the second-largest freshwater lake in Kenya.
As you make your way up into the Great Rift Valley, you arrive at Elsamere, the former home of Joy Adamson and her husband, who gained worldwide fame for their conservation work and their bond with the lioness Elsa.
After visiting the lodge, enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the lodges on the shores of the lake. In the early afternoon, embark on a boat ride on the tranquil waters of Lake Naivasha, surrounded by lush papyrus reeds and a wealth of wildlife including giraffe, buffalo, colobus monkeys and a large population of lake hippos.
Next, visit the Crescent Island Conservancy, where you can easily spot a variety of game including giraffe, waterbuck, eland, wildebeest, zebra and impala. The conservancy is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 200 species of birds.
At the end of the day, return to Nairobi, with memories of a breathtaking adventure at Lake Naivasha.
