A one-way flow from Nairobi’s wilderness regions through to the coast, so there’s no retracing ground or fatigue from the pace. It balances high-intensity game viewing (Samburu, the Masai Mara) with genuinely restful stretches (Lake Naivasha, three full nights in Diani), and works in private touches throughout — sundowners, bush dinners, a candlelit beach dinner — suited to a honeymoon rather than a standard group itinerary.
Day by day
Day 1 — Arrival in Nairobi. Met at the airport and transferred privately to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest after the flight. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 — Nairobi to Samburu. Travel to Samburu by road or scenic flight (flight at additional cost), arriving for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces the rugged northern landscape and wildlife, including elephant, lion and the Samburu Special Five. Overnight at the camp, full board.
Day 3 — Samburu. A full day of game drives along the Ewaso Nyiro River, with strong odds of Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and elephant herds. Bush picnic lunch, with a sundowner to close the day. Overnight at the camp, full board.
Day 4 — Samburu to Lake Naivasha. Drive to Lake Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, arriving for lunch. Afternoon boat safari among hippos and birdlife, with an optional guided walk at Crescent Island. Overnight at the resort, full board.
Day 5 — Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara. Drive or fly (flight at additional cost) to the Masai Mara, with a game drive en route to camp for lunch. An evening game drive follows before returning to camp. Overnight at the camp, full board.
Day 6 — Masai Mara. A full day exploring the Mara’s plains for the Big Five and other wildlife, with a picnic lunch in the field. An optional hot air balloon safari with a champagne bush breakfast is available at additional cost. Overnight at the camp, full board.
Day 7 — Masai Mara to Diani Beach. Fly to Diani (via Nairobi if needed), then transfer to your beachfront resort. The rest of the day is free to relax by the ocean. Overnight at the resort, full board.
Day 8 — Diani Beach. A full day at leisure on Diani’s white sand, with optional spa treatments, snorkeling or swimming. In the evening, a sunset dhow cruise followed by a private candlelit beach dinner. Overnight at the resort, full board.
Day 9 — Diani Beach. A relaxed morning by the ocean, with optional water activities or simply unwinding at the resort, and a final evening dinner by the beach. Overnight at the resort, full board.
Day 10 — Departure. Breakfast at leisure, then transfer to Ukunda Airstrip or a connecting flight to Nairobi for international departure.
