Why this route

The Masai Mara delivers the big-cat sightings and, in season, the wildebeest river crossing. Amboseli pairs large elephant herds with the single best view of Mt Kilimanjaro anywhere in Kenya. Lake Naivasha slows the pace down with a boat ride among hippos and flamingos. Together they cover the highlights international travelers ask for most, without the fatigue of a longer multi-region trip.

Day by day

Days 1-3 — Masai Mara. Game drives in search of lion, leopard and cheetah, with time built in for a possible river crossing depending on the season. Overnight at the camp.

Days 4-5 — Amboseli. Drive to Amboseli via the Rift Valley escarpment. Game drives focused on Amboseli’s elephant herds, with Kilimanjaro visible on clear mornings. Overnight at the camp.

Day 6 (or 6-7) — Lake Naivasha. En route back to Nairobi, a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos, giant kingfishers and (seasonally) flamingos, before transfer to Nairobi or the airport.

What’s included
