A short safari for travelers based on the Kenyan coast — pairs naturally with a Mombasa or Diani beach stay. Real itinerary content carried over from our previous site; photos for Tsavo are being sourced and will replace the placeholder image above once ready.
Day by day
Day 1 — Mombasa to Tsavo West. Drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi road to Bachuma Gate for the first game drive — elephant, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe and antelope. Visit Aruba Dam, particularly rewarding during the dry season. Lodge check-in for lunch, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 — Tsavo West to Mombasa. Early morning game drive before breakfast. Mid-morning visit to Mzima Springs, where hippos, crocodiles and several fish species are visible in crystal-clear water, plus birdwatching. Return to the lodge for lunch, then transfer back to Mombasa/Diani, arriving late afternoon.
